European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), the European Aviation Safety Agency or has been announced that the current aircraft passengers who are traveling in Europe are allowed to use a smartphone or tablet during flight.

According to EASA, lifting of restrictions on the use of telecommunications and computing equipment in these aircraft likely will be actually implemented in mid-2015.

For a while, EASA now require the airline to do testing to ensure safety of passengers when the use of smartphones and tablets on the plane is allowed.

According to the Business Insider website reported, in addition to allowing the passengers to access a variety of content on their mobile devices using the Internet data, including telephone and communicate in the form of instant messaging, this new regulation will also accelerate adoption of Wi-Fi service on board.

The use of mobile phones in aircraft itself is already allowed if EASA since a few months ago. However, there are several requirements that must be adhered to the passengers.

First, passengers may only use the phone when the aircraft is at an altitude above 3,000 meters from the ground. And secondly, passengers are not allowed to turn on Internet data.
